Positive Alternatives Inc. manages two group homes: Alpha House-Menomonie and Alpha House-River Falls.  Each of the homes are eight bed co-ed group foster homes and are State Licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Health and Social Services.  Both houses are governed by Wisconsin Administrative Code HFS57.  The homes provide structure, safety and accountability to youth in need of alternate care.

Both homes offer the same services including: Long term, short term, 72-hour holds, respite and crisis placements. In addition to regular programming the River Falls home offers a “Day Treatment Facility.”  More information on this facility can be found here: http://www.nwcgc.com/journey.htm

NEW!  Alpha House Group Homes have hired an After Care Specialist to work with youth and families to prepare for discharge and assist with setting up continuing and future services.  The Aftercare Specialist will meet with the youth and family after discharge to facilitate a smooth transition.
