  • Wisconsin Rapids

    The Starbucks donations have been greatly utilized by the WIR group home.  They are able to pick up from Starbucks 3 times per week and youth very much enjoy this treat!

  • River Falls

    We have had generous local organizations and individuals, including River Falls Holiday Helpers, Hudson Willow Church, and a group of neighbors, donate Christmas presents to our youth, along with needed household supplies. It was amazing to see the number of presents that filled the room! Youth were excited and noted that it exceeded their usual experience. The church also made and delivered a huge meal for the youth and staff to enjoy! Some shared that they had never seen so much food at once.

  • Wisconsin Rapids

    The grant for fresh produce and new kitchen items has been highly utilized by youth, ensuring they always have a healthy snack and the items they need to ensure making homemade meals is easy!

  • Menomonie

    A partnership with Phillips-Medisize in Menomonie and Eau Claire led to employees sponsoring youth for Christmas last year, which meant our youth had an extra-special Christmas. Additionally, they held a camping gear drive to provide the group home with camping supplies for their annual camping trips. Youth very much look forward to this tradition, and new camping gear means they will have many great camping years ahead.

  • River Falls

    Recently, we had some anonymous donors provide gifts from an Amazon Wishlist for a youth’s birthday. He was thrilled to receive the specific gifts he had hoped for, including his preferred brands and books that he had been wanting for quite some time. The youth mentioned that birthdays had often been overlooked in the past, which made this celebration especially meaningful.

  • Wausau

    Thank you to the Walmart Spark Grant #0685, which allowed us to purchase fishing gear and materials for a six-person hammock station for our youth to enjoy during the sunny months! Both will provide opportunities to participate in mindful and serene activities that create a peaceful vibe throughout their time with us.

  • Wisconsin Rapids

    A local church donated quilts for the youth, which get a significant amount of use and allows the youth to have something to stay cozied up in.

  • All Group Homes

    The birthday wish list purchases have ensured that youth always receive an item they’ve really been hoping for, which makes their birthday celebrations that much more exciting. When a youth opens a gift from their wish list, you can see their face light up.

Blessing Box

The Blessing Box, located on the property of Oak Ridge Lutheran Brethren Church in Menomonie, was established to provide our local, rural community and its members with resources they may need to flourish and survive, such as non-perishable food items, personal hygiene items, new household items, new small clothing items, and first aid related items. Donors may place items in the Blessing Box to be accessible to anyone in need, regardless of their age, race, status, background, religion, sexual orientation, and so forth. Donors may also drop donations off at the administrative office in Menomonie or designate cash donations to this cause.
